Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Android version of the Image to PDF mobile application ("Image to PDF", "the App") handles information when distributed through Google Play.
Image to PDF is designed to convert images already on your device into a PDF file. The App is intentionally simple and processes your selected files locally on your device.
App And Contact Information
- App: Image to PDF
- Distribution channel: Google Play
- Privacy inquiries: Please use the support email address or support website listed on the Google Play store listing for Image to PDF.
Summary
- The App lets you select existing images from your device and combine them into a PDF.
- Your selected images and generated PDFs are not uploaded to our servers for conversion.
- The App does not require account creation.
- The App does not use advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDKs in its current version.
- The App does not intentionally transmit your selected images or generated PDFs off your device except when you choose to open or share a file with another app or service.
- If you choose to share or open a file with another app, that app or service may handle the file under its own privacy policy.
Information The App Accesses
To provide its core functionality, the App may access:
- images that you explicitly choose from your device
- basic file information needed to process those images, such as file names, file paths, and ordering
- generated PDF files created by the App and saved in local app storage
The App accesses this information only to support the Image to PDF workflow.
How The App Uses Information
The App uses the information above to:
- let you pick images from your device
- show image thumbnails and page order in the builder flow
- generate a PDF file locally on your device
- preview, open, and share the generated PDF when you request those actions
- save the generated PDF in the App's local documents directory
What We Do Not Do
In the current version of the App, we do not:
- create user accounts
- collect your images or PDFs on our servers
- sell or rent your personal information
- use your data for advertising or cross-app tracking
- include third-party analytics or crash-reporting services
Local Storage
Generated PDFs are saved locally in the App's documents directory, currently in
the generated_pdfs folder.
Your original source images remain in their original location on your device. The App reads those images to create the PDF, but it does not claim ownership of them and does not intentionally delete or modify the originals.
Depending on your device and operating system settings, locally stored app data may be included in device backups managed by your platform provider.
Sharing And Opening Files
If you use the App's share or open actions, the selected PDF is handed to the operating system and/or the app you choose. At that point, the file may be processed, copied, or stored by that third party under its own terms and privacy practices. We do not control those third-party services.
Permissions
The App requests access to photos or the photo library only so you can choose images to convert into a PDF. If you do not grant access, image selection may not work.
The App does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts, or account permissions for its current MVP feature set.
Data Retention And Deletion
Because the App does not maintain a backend account system, we do not keep a server-side copy of your selected images or generated PDFs.
Data created or used by the App is retained as follows:
- selected images are accessed from your device when you choose them
- generated PDFs remain on your device until you delete them, remove the App, or your operating system clears app data
- files you share to another app or service are governed by that third party's retention and deletion practices
You can also revoke the App's photo access at any time through your device settings.
Security
The App relies on the security protections provided by your device and operating system, including app sandboxing and permission controls. While no software or storage method can guarantee absolute security, the App is designed to minimize data exposure by processing files locally and avoiding unnecessary data collection.
Children's Privacy
The App is a general utility app and is not directed specifically to children. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children through a backend service.
Changes To This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App or legal requirements. If we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document.
